Rocket Engine Works
Power and Performance
Rocket Engine Works is the in house engine shop of Rocketech Motorsports.
Rocket Engine Works specializes in championship-caliber Briggs 206 engine builds. With meticulous attention to every detail to deliver an engine that will perform at the peak of its capability. Every engine undergoes a precise build process to maximize performance within the rules. And that is just the beginning, because there is more to what sets us apart.
We don’t build a large volume of engines so we pay more attention to details. We believe very strongly that one of the key parts to preparing the best performing engines is the break in process. We have a proprietary system that allows us to break in an engine that will achieve a higher level of performance and durability and that is our “secret sauce”. The engine is run on a break in stand that puts varying loads on the engine continuously just as if it was being driven on track. We have built a unique filtration system that allows us to filter the oil in the engine while it is running. The filtration system filters the special break in oil up to forty times per minute to insure that the oil remains as clean as possible during the break in process. By filtering out all of the harmful and damaging debris that are present during break in, the internals of a Rocket Engine Works engine is going to have an advantage over the competition. This will contribute to better performance and longevity. Not until after it is fully broken in does it go on our state of the art inertia dynamometer. There it is fine tuned to get the best performance that will be proven on track.
Many engine builders will send break in information with a new engine build. They will include their recommendations on how to break in your new engine. We think that it is crazy to think that they have already flogged that poor engine on a dyno with all of the debris going through every part of the inside of the engine. That debris can do irreversible damage to the piston, cylinder wall, rings and other internal components…and now they want you to break it in? That is just crazy! It’s too late if you want to get the maximum out of your engine.
That is what we believe, and experts will back us up! So when you choose who your engine shop is going to be we believe that Rocket Engine Works should be at the top of your list. Rebuilds? Yes, we got you covered. We will provide a top level rebuild and dyno tuning of your engine. It doesn’t matter to us if we were the original builder or not. It’s going to be the best it can be when it’s returned to you.
